We offer a range of informal learning activities for schools and other groups. These are led by the Ranger team at the Millennium Country Park. The Park has many opportunities for children to get outside and close to nature. Our activities, which range from pond dipping and bug hunting to bird watching and leaf hunting, bring nature to life and provide children with a real hands on experience that many have never had.
It is essential that these activity sessions are booked in advance. The Ranger team will be happy to discuss your requirements and put together a plan that will ensure that your groups gets the most out of a visit.
An information sheet is available to download
Schools and other groups are welcome to use The Millennium Country Park and our wider Forest sites as a base for a self led visit. We would still like you to let us know you are planning a visit, so please call Forest Centre Reception on 01234767037.
There are many resources available on the internet to help you structure your day. A good example is by the Forestry Commission and can be downloaded below. Many of the activities are appropriate for The Millennium Country Park and our wider Forest sites
