Public Tree Planting
Date(s) - Sunday Feb 12, 2017
11:00 am - 3:00 pm
The Forest Centre
Join us anytime between 11am and 3pm, and help plant another small wood in the Forest of Marston Vale (create another small wood in the Forest )– something you and your children can enjoy for decades to come. We’ve already planted over 1 million trees and you can help us towards our target of 5 million more. Planting a tree isn’t hard, but it is great fun and very worthwhile. In the future the wood will be open all the time for everyone to enjoy, so why not come along and be able to say “we planted some of those.”
What to bring: Warm, waterproof clothes and plenty of enthusiasm! We’ll supply everything else – trees, tools, information, cups of tea, shelter, chairs and a toilet.
How to get there: A free bus shuttle service will bring people in from the Forest Centre but if you live nearby it will be easier to walk or cycle.
The main access point will be on Lodge Road, Cranfield – look out for the flags. Please don’t drive to the site as there isn’t any parking nearby.
It’s a walk of about 30m to the planting site from the drop off point. Please contact us in advance if you might need some help accessing the site.
