At the heart of the Forest of Marston Vale, the Forest Centre & 9-time Green Flag Award winning Millennium Country Park offer a fantastic, natural place to enjoy the great outdoors on your doorstep. Our multi-purpose facility that has something for everyone – whether you’re looking to host a wedding or party, go on a bike ride, grab some lunch or just have a nice, quiet walk . With a variety of meals, cakes and snacks at the Lakeside Cafe bar; gift shop and bike hire; outdoor playground and toilets with baby changing facilities, the Centre is fully wheelchair accessible and open all year round for both avid outdoor explorers and those just seeking a nice slice of cake. We regularly have events and activities hosted by other groups, so check out our Reception for the latest details.
Wheelchair available – we have a manual, transport wheelchair (no hand rims) available for your use and ask for a donation in return. Please ask at reception.
The Millennium Country Park is, as we mentioned, a Green Flag Award winning site for the 9th year in a row, officially making it one of the best parks in the country. You can explore on foot, bike or horse the 225 hectares of woodlands, lakes, wetlands and grassland via the 17km of different trails – from mown paths to surfaced routes – and discover the amazing wildlife of the Wetlands Nature Reserve and the peaceful Sensory garden.
Owned and operated by an independent charity, The Forest of Marston Vale Trust, the Forest Centre & Millennium Country are run as a social enterprise, with all profit generated through the Forest Centre ploughed back into creating the Forest of Marston Vale – so whether it’s for a conference, cake or a cup of tea, your custom will make a real difference.

The Millennium Country Park is open to pedestrians, cyclists, dog walkers nd horse riders 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, but please note that the car park is locked when the Forest Centre is closed. How to find us
By road -From J13 of the M1, follow the A421 towards Bedford/Cambridge and exit at Marston Moretaine.
From the A1, follow the A421 towards Milton Keynes and exit at Marston Moretaine.
You’ll see brown signage for the Forest Centre. Come over the roundabout and through Marston Moretaine, and turn right at the Coop. Follow the road round and we are on the left. Our postcode is MK43 0PS.
By rail – The Forest Centre is approx. a 15 minute walk from both Millbrook and Stewartby stations. For more information about train times, click here. If you present a valid train ticket from your journey to the Forest Centre you get 10% discount in the Lakeside Cafe!
