Luton Airport Firemen hot-footing it round the Park!

Submitted by on January 20, 2017 – 12:00 pm2 Comments

We had a lovely chat recently in the Forest Centre cafe with Martyn, Nick and James from the London Luton Airport Fire department, who popped over for one of their regular runs (not as a New Years Resolution either – they do it regularly!)

It’s our free parking and flat pathways that bring them over from Luton – though they do occasionally venture onto the bumpy callow mounds if they’re feeling adventurous. Not being a huge runner myself, I was almost inspired to get my trainers on and pop out there myself…maybe after the cold weather has cleared up?

It’s always great to hear about customers coming back time and time and again, whether it’s to train for a 5k or bring the grandkids. And we’re very glad to be playing a part in keeping some of Bedfordshire’s Fire Service fighting fit! Keep up the good work lads – we’ll see you soon for some more laps (and bacon sarnies…)
