Tree Planting 2017

Submitted by on December 14, 2016 – 11:51 amNo Comment

I know Christmas isn’t *quite* over yet, but we’re already looking forward to the next chapter in the Forest of Marston Vale’s tree planting – Waypost Wood on Sunday 12th Feb 2017!

Over in Cranfield, on the airport side, we’ll be planting up a new woodland called Waypost Wood, over the next two planting seasons (2017/2018) and we are looking for people to come along and help us get stuck in! All you need to bring is warm clothing, suitable shoes (most likely wellies) and lots of enthusiasm! We provide transport to and from the Forest Centre, refreshments on site and all the tools you need. We’ve already planted over 1 million trees in the Forest – by planting trees with us in February – whether it’s 1, 10 or 100 – you are helping us towards our target of 5 million more!

Buses will be running from the Forest Centre to the site and back, from 10.45am – 3pm (approx.) so please do not drive to the site as there is no parking avaialble. Cranfield residents can easily walk to the site (just off Lodge Road, off the High Street). Check the event page for more specific details nearer the time.

If you would like more information, or have special requirements which we need to know about before you visit the site – please email our Community Engagement Officer Jo Roberts. or give her a ring on 01234 762608.
